Admissions

All prisoners undergo an admission process upon incarceration. A prisoner is admitted into the prison with a proper warrant issued by a competent authority. The personal belongings of the prisoners are collected and documented for safekeeping. They will be returned to the inmates upon their release from the prison.

During admission, prisoners are properly searched to prevent smuggling of contraband or prohibited articles into the prison. All prisoners are medically screened and examined by the medical officer, and treatment, if required, is provided.

During the admission briefing, prisoners are informed about their basic provisions, interview and telephone call facilities, legal services, length of sentence, and the earliest date of release.
