Special Sub Jail, Jagtial was constructed in 1986 with two buildings. A new barrack was constructed in 2004. The present authorized accommodation is 40 males and 14 females. The jail is situated within the court premises, near the old bus stand in Jagtial. All court admissions from Jagtial District are sent to this jail.
