Central Prison-Sangareddy, located in Kandi near Sangareddy, is a model prison that was opened in 2012, replacing the old District Jail, Sangareddy. It has a vast campus with lush greenery and a lake surrounding it. Initially built as the new District Jail, it was upgraded to a Central Prison in 2022. Various reformation activities, including prison industries, a skill development center, an open-air prison with a mango orchard, and a retail fuel outlet, are maintained within the premises.
