Interviews
Interviews
Prisoners are allowed to meet and communicate with their family members, relatives, friends, and legal advisors for various purposes such as procuring bail, filing an appeal, managing personal property, or handling other family matters.
Interview Process:
- Visitors must submit an application to the Prison Superintendent along with a valid photo ID.
- If multiple visitors wish to meet the same prisoner, one application is sufficient, but ID proof copies of all visitors are required.
- All jails have designated areas for interviews.
- Interviews are limited to a maximum of 30 minutes, with up to three visitors allowed at a time.
- The Superintendent has the authority to deny an interview if deemed necessary.
In case of serious illness, interviews can be conducted in the prison hospital with the Superintendent’s permission. Consulate officials are allowed to visit incarcerated citizens of their respective countries for legal and communication purposes. As per regulations, all visitors are subject to security checks before the interview.
